Circuses by HSUS (Humane Society of US)
Georgia Animal Rights and Protection (GARP)GARP is a grassroots group of animal rights activists meeting in Atlanta. Please join us, we need your help!
Our efforts are focused on animal acts (i.e. circuses and rodeos), factory farming, hunting, fur, vivisection and Georgia animal cruelty laws. Our tactics include setting up information tables, making school presentations, leafleting, demonstrating and changing legislation. GARP focuses on different issues at different times of the year. By organizing and working as a group, we are able to create change much more effectively than if we all act on our own. We are able to pool resources and support each other in order to reduce burnout. There is no fee for membership, and, as a member, you may choose to be part of any or all of our efforts.
The GARP email group is used only for making GARP event and meeting announcements; it is not a discussion group. If you would like to also be part of an animal rights discussion group or have access to a broader range of local animal rights issues, please choose "YES" when asked if you wish to join AR-GA below.
