6/25 Foie Gras Protest!
According to the ASPCA, "The birds' livers become so enlarged…that according to documentation by veterinarians, the animals must experience unspeakable pain and suffering. Birds have literally exploded from these forced feedings. The results of necropsies on dead birds that have been force-fed reveal ruptured livers, throat damage, esophageal trauma, and food spilling from the dead animals' throats and out of their nostrils."
Join us in protesting this despicable "delicacy" as we now gather outside Bistro Niko.

When: Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM
What: Posters, banners and flyers will be provided.
The management was mighty unhappy with our protest last time -- but, not enough to
remove foie gras. So, we need to keep up the pressure until they remove foie gras from
their menu!
Before the event, please contact Bistro Niko and express your disgust with their decision
to serve foie gras!

Parking: Don't park at Bistro Niko. There are parking lots a block or two from Bistro
Niko where most people will be parking. A good one is a strip mall with a Caribou
Coffee in it.

7/3 National Marine Life Freedom Day
When: Sunday, July 3 · 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Where: Georgia Aquarium, 225 Baker St. NW
Protest against marine life captivity to coincide with protests across the country at marine parks and aquariums. Independence day garb and flags should be worn and carried proud, signs proclaiming Captivity Kills, Thanks but No Tanks, We're Fighting for Their Freedom, etc.
